The PCC The PCC is composed of the Incumbent, the Church Wardens and three members of the Deanery Synod elected for three years. The remaining nine members are elected on a rolling basis of three newly elected members each year so that there is always a nucleus of members carried over and thus aware of the issues that have gone before. The PCC averages seven meetings annually. Following a PCC Away Day in 1996, we believe we were led to review our existing committee structure of Property, Missionary and Pastoral Care committees made up of PCC members and other co-opted people in favour of a more focussed but flexible structure that brought in the talents and gifts of the whole congregation. Therefore a system of eight co-ordinators was introduced covering the following areas: ·Under 18’s ·Evangelism ·Adult Education ·Worship ·Property ·Missionary ·Communication & Publicity ·Pastoral Care In each case an individual co-ordinates activity in these areas calling in additional resources as required. The Rector or one of the Wardens acts as a mentor to each coordinator. All areas are covered except for Adult Education, Worship and Missionary, where the Rector is currently both the acting co-ordinator and the mentor. |
