The present site is occupied by the church, a hall, a modern Rectory and gardens, a car parking area for approximately 40 vehicles, and a small field. There is not a graveyard within the site. Building Development Recent improvements and alterations to the premises have been carried out under the guidance of the Building Development Group (BDG) which was chaired by the previous Rector. BDG has worked closely on design and building issues with professional agencies (architects, quantity surveyors, heating consultants etc ) to bring about the safe demolition of the “Old School” building ( the site of which is now part of the Church car park), the refurbishment of Church and plans to demolish and rebuild the Church Hall. Major Repair Work Partial re-tiling of the Church roof at a cost of £8,000 should commence before the summer 2002. Complete re-tiling of the Church roof at a later date will cost a further £22,000. Some work is required in the future to improve the grounds and paths around Church. |
